How Facebook tricks Whatsapp users with end to end encryption

    Now we are going to see about the privacy issues in the whatsapp, i know you bored as f, because We have been hearing it a lot of times since they released their new privacy policy updates,

    However whatsapp claims they use end to end encryption during transfers, many whatsapp users claim they get ads based on their messages some users admit even they get ads based on the whatsapp calls.

    Even Though lot of people started campaigning to delete WhatsApp, I couldn't do it because a lot of my friends and my college official group are on whatsapp.

Comparing whatsapp to other messengers-

    Now i feel whatsapp is unbelievably monitoring the user more than any other apps, let's see that in detail in a bit. they do accept certain things they collecting about users, which itself a list of lot of things, 

    According to the Forbes comparison of how much information the messaging apps know about the users, Facebook secures the first place, WhatsApp is in the second place, it is the highest comparing it with the other widely used messaging apps like iMessage telegram and signal.

Data that whatsapp get from the users-

    Usually brands like Apple makes the apps in the app store transparent about the user data that the apps use, now in the apple app store they have a special privacy label section that describes the apps interaction with your privacy.

    That includes various datas like purchases, financial info, location info, contact info, user content, identifiers, usage data, and diagnostics. If this data is shared with facebook that’s kind of in the gray area before now whatsapp itself opens about it, they will share some things with facebook. 

    They stated they need these data for various reasons for improving efficiency and to enhance the user experience, but we all know they will show ads based on the user preference. Ultimately our data is going to be used for that, I think that is what they have mentioned in enhancing the user experience part.

What whatsapp hides about end to end encryption-

    What whatsapp says about the end to end encryption is totally true, they use end to end encryption for messages and calls but they didn’t mention about the meta data because unlike signal whatsapp dont use end to end encryption on the metadata while you send a picture or a video.

What is metadata? How does Whatsapp use this metadata?

    Metadata is a data associated with the data, metadata describes the data which they associated with, in simple terms if you shared a picture to a friend on whatsapp, the picture contains gps location info, time that picture shot, the device that shot that picture these kind of data are called metadata.

    Metadata could be used by whatsapp and facebook for promoting relevant ads.

Mysterious things in whatsapp messenger-

    Whatsapp boasts about end to end protocol, they promises they didn’t store or view our messages but lot of things make me suspect about their promises.

    Still we are seeing ads based on our whatsapp message, calls on instagram and facebook, these trends also reflects on our browser also,

    Even youtube recommendations have a great influence by whatsapp so they do some things in there but we can't know it detailly because whatsapp is not an open source software like the signal, because any person who has knowledge of data security can voluntarily review an open source software.

    But we can’t believe anything that facebook says because it holds the worst track record on privacy than any other big company.

    Corporates usually talk bulls**t like do they really care about users they doing everything for improving user experience, but a matured person could easily figure out the business strategy behind all that crappy talks,

    some people predicting the next step of Facebook family would be integration of their different platforms, they says team zuck trying to integrate the their family members into one by introducing new features like inter app messaging like whatsapp to Facebook messenger for that they need share more data between the apps,

 
    Whatever do they say, basically a messaging app is for messaging, they can't justify the act of peeking beyond the door of privacy.
