Top 8 Upgrades in Android 12

Previous Android upgrade Android 11 was not a big jump from Android 10 in terms of new features but now Google released the beta version of Android 12, which include lot of changes in terms of look and new features,

 

  The Android 12 revamped the looks of UI, The Google made it more refined and sleek they said it is new material you design which is more colourful, the colours kind of make you remember Google,

 

Ok Lets look straight into the new changes in the looks of UI and New features they have Introduced

UI based changes in Android 12-

1. New quick Setting toggles-

The first thing that catches your eyes is the notification panel. They have renovated the whole section, Now settings toggles have turned into big pill shaped icons with new colour themes. It looks more refined and clean.

 

Now the notification panel can arrange notifications based on the importance, if the other spam notification and messages are present in the notification panel. it will show you the messages first.

 

Now they grouped the relevant toggle into a single one, for example internet toggle are grouped into a single one called internet opens a menu that will give you the options related to mobile internet, SIM and Wi-Fi network.

 

They have added 2 new toggles to open up the payments options and to control the Smarthome devices.

2. Wallpaper based themes

Now in Android 12 you can get wallpaper based themes, the various colour wallpaper are available in OS once you set those wallpapers.

 

The colour theme of the wallpaper will also reflect on the UI. its acts like a theme specially in Quick setting toggles, Sound Bar, power menu, lock screen pin, home screen fonts and widgets. 

 

  The matching colour improves the look of the whole UI.

3. Volume and power menu

 

They have incorporated the material in the power button and volume slider also now the power menu takes up less space on the screen.

 

They have added an alternative to the power button, a toggle in Quick setting panel for accessing the power Menu options.

 

Now the volume slider look more sleek and compact.

4. Settings

 

Material you also   reflect on the settings  they improve the icon of every settings with individual colour options its look pleasant with the background.

5. Audio player and payment

 

Also matched the colour of the audio player with Team m and they added quick Toggle in the lock screen to make payments with NFC.

New features in android 12

1. Privacy dashboard in android 12

 

The android 12 has brought a new feature called privacy dashboard, it displays a detailed report on the apps that uses the permissions and consumes the data from the sensors like camera microphone, GPS.

 

It offers you more control over the  privacy you can also see the system app that use permission to access your privacy. It displays the number of accesses in detailed chart.

 

Speaking about privacy they also introduced an quick toggle to turn off the access for camera and microphone for every app in the phone.

2. Camera and microphone usage indicators

 

We already have microphone and camera usage indicator in the android 10,11 but now android 12 offers you more controls over it. 

 

You can see the apps that using camera or microphone in notification bar, you can disable the permissions or discard the app that using permission.

3. Connection reset in one click

If feel network settings is messed up and slow now android 12 providing a toggle in network setting to reset the network settings in one click.

Conclusion 

    Android 12 seems good. i personally like this material you design, the new UI & UX design and new features making the android experience  better than before, it's good to see the evolution of android, let wait and see how the stable version is going to be.
